Our Programs
At Mason Makes Money Fund, we create opportunities that empower young entrepreneurs to learn, grow, and succeed. Our programs are designed to provide hands-on experience, mentorship, and resources for kids and teens to explore their ideas, build confidence, and take real steps toward running a business.
From micro-grants to workshops and mentorship sessions, each program is a stepping stone for young innovators to develop their skills, connect with like-minded peers, and bring their ideas to life. Explore our programs and discover how we can help your child turn their creativity into action.
In Person Workshops
Our in-person workshops are dynamic spaces of thought, brainstorming and discovery! It is so exciting to see them light up with great ideas. Our participants learn as much about themselves as they do about business and their potential to be successful in it. They draw inspiration from peers who have gone before them and proved that it can be done. The self-confidence it engenders in them can be life changing.
Mentoring
Last 2023, we launched our Mentorship Program, where we connect youth entrepreneurs to practicing business professionals. Mentoring provides meaningful connections that impact the people involved and influence their lives at home, at work, and in their communities.
Young entrepreneurs are virtually partnered with a professional for four sessions, where they are heard, validated, and cultivated as burgeoning leaders. All sessions are provided to youth for FREE!
Micro Grants Program
The crown jewel of our program is our awarding of three micro-grants to three young entrepreneurs each year to be used to fund their youth led businesses.
In addition to the $500 grant, each MMMF awardee attends a 6-8 session business strategy meeting hosted by two of our board members. Receipts evaluate their mission and vision statements, review their business goals and objectives, and are educated on how to retain key business concepts.
This is a $40,000 value opportunity provided for FREE to all awardees!
Leaders in Training (LIT)
At the end of 2023, MMMF piloted its Leaders In Training (LIT) Entrepreneurship Club within a school in Houston, Texas. LIT Entrepreneurship Club serves to provide a space for students and youth entrepreneurs to be cultivated as future leaders, business owners, and professionals during the 2023-24 school year. Held once a month for 45 minutes from December- May, the LIT Entrepreneurship Club engaged 12 fourth and fifth grade students in concepts covering Mathematics, English/Language Arts, and Business.
Mason Makes Money Radio
In 2023, we kicked off a month-long financial literacy celebration in
recognition of Financial Literacy Month, and in partnership with Houston based studio, All Real Radio called Mason Makes Money Radio! Each Saturday in April, Mason Makes Money Fund spoke to more than 1,000 listeners about money management and entrepreneurship, for a total of 5,000+ listeners!
